Bunk Beds, Tape storage and CSN Stores

A while ago, I was contacted by Jason at CSN Stores and he asked me to browse around their 200+ stores and do a product review. I was amazed at the selection and variety of items they offer. In my attempt to be good, I started by browsing the twin beds and bunk beds. My mom is looking for a set for the grandchildren's room.  I am pretty sure the kids would like this set-up...

Of course, I am willing to bet Grandmother is more interested in something like this...
Being good lasted for about thirty minutes and then I started looking at stuff for my studio space. Oh, and I checked out the kitchen supplies, too. As I meandered through the site, I discovered this...
TAPE is all the rage right now and I love this dispenser.  These colors are great, too. With this, I know one part of my supplies will be neat and organized. So what will happen is my tape will be a shining organized beacon in the sea of supplies which is my studio space.

This product is solid and well constructed. Plus, the company is environmentally conscious. By shredding and using cardboard boxes as packing material, they support the reduce and reuse movement. Additionally, they employ and maximize the capabilities of those in community with developmental disabilities. What a great company!
I am looking forward to receiving my new tape dispenser. I'll let you know what I think about it when it arrives.

Meanwhile, head over and check out all their stores.
Happy Day!

Organization Do over

After seeing the mess that was, I can share some detail shots of the organized studio. Concept to remember, IKEA is a crafters Dream! I love picking up towel racks for $1.99 and using them to keep a ton of stuff off my craft table but still at arms reach.  Plus that great ribbon storgae shelf was on sale at Michael's for $9.99. Love It! Look at the that clean work space on top of my new IKEA bookshelf. One of my goals was to create more usable surface for die cutting, Cricut stuff, and ironing fabric.
My PTI stamp sets are in the clear bin with several larger sets also in a bin. My inks are in the small drawers. All my Studio G stamps sets are hung on the wall as well as my bling and a few other small stamps sets. Check that goal off!
End result means my supplies are more accessible and I use them more because I can see them. Yeah for me!

Happy Saturday!

Operation Studio Update

I mentioned earlier that I spent a good chunk of the holiday break organizing my craft space. What you need to realize, is my studio is actually located in my living room. My house is super old and the living room used to be two rooms. As a result it is very long and narrow. So first, I'll show you my space looking from the TV viewing section of my living room.

Now, that I look at it. This view does not seem so organized, but believe me, it is a whole lot better than what was going on here before Operation Studio Update. The handsome dog is, Linus. Anytime I am crafting, he is sitting at my feet wondering when I will be done so we can head to the dog park.

This is the top of my work table. It is always nice when you can actually see the craft mat and it is not piled high with stuff. If you look at the top left you can see my TV and in the top middle is the door to my kitchen. I am not kidding when I say my house is small.  I have some detailed shots of the other areas, but I will save those for my next post. I want to keep you coming back for more and I do not want to ramble on for days in a single post.
One more thing. See that cardboard box in the first picture? That is the mother-load of blog candy I gathered while executing Operation Studio Update. Hope to get some of that together this weekend.

Happy Day!
