No new creation today, but I did figure out how to make my blog have a third column. Feeling pretty good about that technological success! I hope to slowly make adjustments to the blog to update my "image".
This is a big week at Moxie Fab World. They are giving away stamps from My Cute Stamps! Love it! I don't know about you, but this week is mad crazy with fun stamp and card making stuff, check out Papercraft Connections for more fun.

I did purchase this last night and can not wait to have the time to devour all the information, images, tips and goodness.

Thanks for stopping by Asleep on the Couch.  I'd love to hear from you so leave a comment or ask a question.

Added Bonus

I survived the trip north to Atlanta with the van full of college students. It has taken me since Sunday to get it all back in place and be able to think about Asleep on the Couch. Fret not, I did spend my advising time being crafty and you will reap the benefits. I am adding these adorable hand made flowers to the Birthday candy packages. So on top of the stamps, stickers, paper, ribbon, tools, buttons, beads, and other fun stuff, now, you can also win crochet embellishments. Super cute!

I will admit, I am a little sad to only see one name under Mr. Linky. I hope that everyone is busy creating and will post at the last minute. To keep it interesting, I may have a few more surprise candy bonuses up my sleeve. Tell your friends to participate, I promise, these boxes are full of enough crafty stuff that you could split the candy.

It is Homecoming and I am busy all week, but I plan to get a few challenges knocked out this evening.  Hope to have something to post tomorrow.

I'd love to hear from you so leave a comment or ask a question.

Happy Day!

Follower √

Now, I have a few friends who subscribe to Asleep on the Couch, but I have not gotten any followers in the little thingy (technical term) on the side of the page. At last, I have a follower and a little picture on the side of my blog. Check it out, Holly Brooke Jones is my first follower! She has a two great companies, Vinyl Wall Art and My Cute Stamps! Check out her blog, Creating Cupcakes. What a week, Debbie Olson, Holly Brooke Jones... I am blown away...Then there was that ZEBRA on the loose here in Atlanta. How crazy is that? No creations this post. Just wanted to brag about my first follower. So exciting! Of course, I know that the people reading this are also followers. I appreciate you even if you do not show up in my little followers thingy on the side.

I'd love to hear from you so leave a comment or ask a question.

2 Sketches 4 You & Belli

I am off to Atlanta to chaperon a group of my students at a campus activities programming conference. I love driving the big white van filled with college students, did that seem convincing? No really, I enjoy these trips, I would just prefer a limo. This post is probably the last until Sunday. I have a few more sketches that I hope to tackle when I get back from Hotlanta. Plus, I may have plans to add some goodies to the Birthday challenge and candy. See the link above this post for the details. This is my card for the latest 2Sketches4You blog. What do you think? I was planning a sympathy card, but it turned into a wedding card.
Edit: My friend Robin pointed out that this also counts for the Belli Challenge. Another double whammy! Thanks Robin.

OMG, I am so cool.

OK, I am not that cool, but what happened today is SUPER cool. Debbie Olson, yes, I typed Debbie Olson, was so kind to mention my Birthday Challenge on her blog, Thinking and Inking. Of course, I have followed Debbie for a long time now and love what she does for PTI and the CLASSroom. She has a knack of combining patterned papers that I absolutely envy and has mad Copic skills.

I met Debbie and several ladies from the PTI group at the last summer CHA in Orlando. They were working hard on the making takes. I was so rude and while I stood in line at the PTI table, I enhaled a cupcake from the Splitcoast booth. All that craft stuff makes a girl hungry. Well, apparently so does hosting thousands of crazed PTI fans at the make and take table. So, I went and grabbed two cupcakes for Debbie and Heather Nichols. I think at first they were pretty leary of the seemingly (craft)star struck redhead bearing cupcakes. Who knows if they ever ate the cupcakes, but at least I made an impression. Hee, hee, stamps, ink, impression, get it? I hope to make it back to CHA this summer. Who knows if I will arrive with cupcakes in hand.

I truly appreciate Debbie's public service announcement.

I decided to try my own hand at the color combo in my Birthday Challenge. I am also submitting this over at Papertrey Peeps for this months challenge, using buttons. This is a great group of ladies united by their love of PTI. I am eager to see how they develop as a group. But, wait, I am also using Laura's sketch from 2S4U. I LOVE the double whammy!

You'll notice, I even finished out the card by adding some love on the inside.

Maybe you don't know what I mean when I say Birthday Challenge. Who knows, my header post may not show up or something might go haywire with the technology, so check out this post to learn more.

Happy Birthday to Me! So, I mentioned some fun stuff and some blog candy earlier this week. I want to give birthday presents to celebrate my big day. I created a sketch and a color combo. Remeber this is my first attempt at any of this blog interaction, so be patient. The main goal is FUN!

These are all Papertrey Ink colors, but any versions will do, just keep it in the same family. The details go like this,

1. Submit a comment to enter once.
2. Complete a card using the sketch to enter again.
3. Complete a card using the color combo to enter again.
4. Now, you can also be entered for being a Follower.

Please note in the Mr. Linky submission if your card is for the sketch or color combo. You can link to your own blog or any number of sites where you publish your cards.

Ok, so I hope to increase my readership by providing some fun, so please share this with all your friends.  You can see the goodies in this post. All submissions are due by February 28.

This is my card for the CPS PTI Challenge and the PTI Color Combo Challenge. I used Debbie's combo of Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, and Fresh Snow. OK, off to bed. This celebration is causing me to loose sleep. More creative, but wanting to sleep in everyday.

Birthday Month Blog Candy

I promised pictures of the selection last week, but this is when I could get the pictures uploaded. SO, look at all that stuff. Believe it or not, I actually have more candy not in the picture. I will post on the 12th telling you how you can win some birthday blog candy. Like they say on the commercials, "If it fits, it ships." I am pretty sure I'll have a sketch and maybe a challenge plus incentive to comment and/or follow my blog.  So, check back on Friday, and tell all your friends to stop by to see what I have planned. I know it is not as exciting as the big anniversary happening at Papertrey Ink, but still fun.

My Cute Stamps Design Team Call

For several months now, I have followed Creating Cupcakes, Holly Brooke Jones' blog and I love the adorable stamps and what she as well as her design team does with the images. My Cute Stamps was featured on Creating Keepsakes Magazine at CHA and has some great names in the industry on the current DT. So, I am throwing my name in the hat for the next design team. I figure the worse that could happen is I am not asked to participate, but you never know if you do not out yourself out there. If you are interested, check out the details here. Wish me luck!

Let me know what you think...

PTI Paint by Numbers

This is my submission for the PTI challenge. I am so excited about all the fun stuff happening at Papertrey Ink. Make sure to stop by and check out all the FUN! I'll post card details tomorrow. Time for bed...

Feeling Sketchy?

Howdy,

I tried my hardest to make cards for all 9 images from the Papertrey Ink 3rd anniversary celebration, but alas, I only accomplished three. Out of those 3, TWO also worked for sketches. This one is based on the FTL 76 at Clean and Simple Cards. This one is based on Kazan's sketch over at 2Sketches4You. The other one worked for the Creative Belli Challenge: Ribbon. It just says ribbon not how much ribbon is required as a minimum. SO my 1 inch folded in half meets the requirements. Believe it or not, I got up this morning and cleaned up my work space. They say that after you do something for 30 days it is a habit. I'm trying hard to make a clean craft surface a habit.

By the way, this is my birthday month, and I am planning to give a few people some presents. I collected all the candy together this weekend and took some pictures. Just realized I left my camera card in my computer at home. I'll try to post some pics of the goodies this evening.

Happy Day!
